When IHG asked us to create and name its 13th hotel — this one sitting comfortably alongside Holiday Inn in the midscale — we took everything we knew about the industry. And started all over again.
By listening to everyday travellers, we knew they weren't looking for much: just a great night's sleep at a fair price. It was an insight that defined the entire brand creation, and every word I wrote – from the straightforward name above the door to the bullet-point headline style. Together with a confident design, we created an experience that feels just right, every single time.
